Unfortunately, there are many ways we can find ourselves stuck and struggling.  Perhaps you often find yourself frustrated, irritated, and losing your joy for life.  You’re not satisfied sexually or you are in distress about your sexual behavior. You often feel alone and misunderstood by those closest to you.  Whatever you try seems like it’s not good enough.  Maybe anxiety and fear have come to dominate your thoughts or you have the sense that there are unresolved traumas impacting you.  Whatever your situation, we want to help and we firmly believe that healing and redemption are always possible in your story.

Meet Our Team

Andrew & Tim Van Rheenen

We are brothers and therapists who started a private practice together. This is a dream come true for us. We have always been extremely close and we are both passionate about serving men and helping them find contentment and joy in their relationship with God and those around them. Life is full of joy and sorrow, but the sorrows can feel unbearable if we don’t have people to share them with. And our joy is diminished when we run from our sorrows.

Our practice was born out of our conviction that human beings were created for relationships and we all have an innate longing to be known, accepted, and delighted in for who we really are. We believe that building better relationships is the ultimate goal of counseling: better relationships with ourselves, better relationships with our friends and family, better relationship with God, better relationship with work.

We also believe that relationships are what make counseling effective and transformational. We are hurt and wounded by relationships, but we are also healed through relationships. It is our hope that the relationship you build with us will help you experience a taste of what it’s like to feel known, accepted, and loved. Then you can take the skills you learn in counseling and your new experience of yourself into your relationships outside the counseling room and build a life that is full and satisfying. That is what we are passionate about as therapists.
